Participation in a culinary workshop at Notre Dame du Roc High School .

Eleven British members of the AFB and friends spent a thoroughly enjoyable day in the Lycee Notre Dame du Roc. We were there to help the catering department introduce British menus to the students. These menus had been planned prior to the event and were then prepared by the students on the day with the help of the AFB members and the Lycee staff. Working in four groups, dishes such as Shepherds Pie, Cullen Skink, Kidney Pie and Manchester Tart were made and then served amidst lots of excitement and good company. The hospitality students also were involved and made and served fruit cocktails, the professionalism of the students was well noted. During the afternoon we were given a tour of the school and listened to presentations given by the older students in English.
