September : General meeting
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 23rd SEPTEMBER 2021 at MOUTIERS LES MAUXFAITS
The AGM was attended by the Maire of Champ St Pere, M. Jean Ferrand; the Maire and deputy of Moutiers les Mauxfaits, M. Christian Amé and Mdm. Violette Estebe and a good representation of members.
The activities and financial reports for 2020-2021 were presented and accepted.
It was agreed that the Association subscription be re-instated at the previous rates of 8€ for an individual and 12€ for a family.
The future activities report outlined what may be possible following local Covid-19 protocols:
The discussion and games group to commence as soon as rooms become available (Helen Lewer will inform members by email). The group hopes to develop to include speakers on various topics.
The handicraft group under the organisation of Frances Summers, is meeting every other Friday afternoon at le Champ St Père.
The belote group needs a new leader.
The cookery group will commence this semester. Please contact Solange Gray
There are no English language courses this year.
November 20th Annual Event at le Champ St Père.
Regulations allowing, it is hoped to hold a Pub Quiz night.
Other events and links: book and plant/seed exchanges and bowling may be organised as will rambles and visits. The 17th annual summer event is on the calendar for July 2022. This maybe a picnic or a BBQ.
Links with schools and colleges have re-commenced. At Notre Dame du Roc a ‘smoothie’ event is planned for 6th April and a food and quiz event for 11th May. Lynn Scully needs English speaking volunteers for the May event.
Elections: Arlette Graby, Helen Lewer, Bernadette Tourancheau and John Stannard stood for re-election. All were unanimously re-elected. Jean Claude Louchet stood as a new candidate to the committee and was unanimously elected. There is still a vacancy on the committee.
